Many find themselves in the “wilderness” of their lives, without being able to find a way out or a better way of life - this is true for children, as well as adolescents and many adults. The Wilderness Camp in México (70 miles south of Brownsville, Texas) has 248 acres, and although many of the buildings were severely damaged by a hurricane a few years ago, we are hoping and praying that soon we can rebuild it and develop a place where many can come and receive Jesus Christ as their Savior, “the true living water” and “the bread of life,” in their own “wilderness” experience.
THE PURPOSE: This is the vision that gave birth to this “wilderness mission.”
The mission would like to help homeless and poor boys and girls living in extreme poverty (as well as teenagers and adults) and free them from the life in the streets, a life involved in drugs and prostitution. We would like to present them with an alternative lifestyle in order to birth in them the desire to live soberly, righteously, and godly lives in this present world, practicing the presence of the Lord on a daily basis, even in the midst of great obstacles (Titus 2:10-15).

THE GOALS: The primary goal is to establish a camp/children's home far away from the border cities, where children can live and grow daily in the nurture and admonition of our Lord, in an alternative and educational setting.
THE OBJECTIVES: We would like to secure and find the necessary support & workers to start an alternative school/children's home, develop various ways to strengthen each child's learning style, and obtain the necessary equipments and materials to train future teachers and missionaries. Yes, pastors and evangelists, but also looking at the way they learn, in order to encourage them to be doctors, lawyers and even presidents, and thereby influence all areas of their society.
THE STRUCTURE: We would like to establish and strengthen the family unit:
1. By encouraging them to reach a healthy self-esteem by God's standard,
2. By helping them to understand the basic principles of making a living, and
3. By leading them to find a good purpose for their lives in the sight of our Lord.
We would like them to receive the education needed in order to serve our Lord
with their individual skills on a daily basis and at every position in their society.
We would like to help them grow healthy families, so that at the same time they
will be able to help the economy and the well-being of their communities.

Muchas personas se encuentran en «el desierto de sus vidas» sin poder encontrar una salida
o una vida mejor - esto es verdad tanto para los niños como para los adolescentes y muchos adultos. El Campamento del Desierto en México (70 millas al sur de Brownsville, Texas)
tiene 248 acres/100 hectáreas, y aunque muchos de sus edificios fueron destruidos por un huracán hace unos años, estamos orando y esperando que pronto podremos reconstruirlo y desarrollar un campamento donde muchos puedan venir y recibir a nuestro Señor Jesucristo como su Salvador, el verdadero «pan de vida» y la verdadera «agua viva» para la experiencia en «el desierto» de sus vidas (Juan 4 y 6).
EL PROPÓSITO: Esta es la visión que dio a luz a la misión del desierto.
La misión quiere ayudar a muchos niños pobres y sin hogar (adolescentes y adultos)
y librarlos de la vida en las calles y llevarlos lejos de una vida involucrada en las drogas
y en la prostitución. Deseamos presentarles un estilo de vida alternativo para que pueda renacer en ellos el deseo propio de renunciar a la impiedad y a los deseos mundanos,
y llegar a vivir en este presente mundo sobria, justa, y piadosamente, practicando
la presencia del Señor diariamente, aun en medio de muchos obstáculos (Tito 2:10-15).
«El corazón del hombre piensa su camino, pero el Señor endereza sus pasos» Proverbios 16:9.
LAS METAS: La meta primaria es de establecer un campamento/casa-hogar lejos
de las ciudades fronterizas, donde los estudiantes puedan vivir y crecer diariamente
en la disciplina y la amonestación del Señor en un ambiente alternativo y educacional.
LOS OBJETIVOS: Queremos asegurar y buscar la ayuda y los trabajadores necesarios
para comenzar una escuela alternativa/casa-hogar, desarrollar varias maneras para
reforzar el estilo de aprendizaje de cada estudiante, y obtener los equipos y los
materiales necesarios para equipar a futuros maestros y misioneros. Sí, también
pastores y evangelistas, pero considerando la manera de aprendizaje para animarlos también a ser buenos doctores, abogados, y aun presidentes, y así influenciar toda su sociedad.
LA ESTRUCTURA: Queremos establecer y reforzar la unidad familiar en todo lugar:
1. Queremos ayudar a los estudiantes a obtener una buena autoestima delante de Dios,
según la transformación que viene solamente por la obediencia a la Palabra de Dios.
2. Queremos ayudar a los estudiantes a entender y desarrollar los principios básicos
para mejorar sus vidas y establecerse económicamente.
3. Queremos ayudar a los estudiantes a encontrar un buen propósito para sus vidas
delante de Dios y según Su perfecta voluntad.
Queremos que todos reciban la educación necesaria para servir a nuestro Señor,
con sus habilidades individuales, cada día y en cada posición de su comunidad.
Queremos que todos puedan crecer sanas familias, y que al mismo tiempo ellos
puedan ayudar a establecer una buena economía y el bienestar de su comunidad.
